Most podcasts only offer listening practice. Spanish Reading Club gives you the complete learning experience.

🎧 An interactive, word-by-word transcript that follows the audio as you listen.
💬 A comparative Spanish–English dialogue so you can understand every line clearly.
🧠 Grammar and vocabulary explanations that simplify tricky concepts.
📄 Downloadable study guides, so you can review offline anytime.
✅ A short quiz to check your understanding and track your progress.
This unique combination helps you absorb Spanish naturally while staying motivated and confident.
3. Who is behind Spanish Reading Club? Are they a native Spanish speaker?
Yes — Jonathan, the host, is a native Spanish speaker from Ecuador, the beautiful South American country that is home to the Galápagos Islands.
He holds a degree in Marketing and Trade Negotiation, and his university dissertation focused on second language acquisition, exploring how people learn new languages most effectively. Since 2016, he has taught thousands of Spanish lessons to students of all ages and backgrounds, from GCSE and A-level learners in the UK to adults around the world.
Most of Spanish Reading Club episodes are narrated in his natural, neutral Latin American accent, ideal for global learners. Occasionally, he will also switch to an Iberian (Spain) accent to help you recognise regional variations.
Jonathan's goal is to help you not just understand Spanish — but feel it, think in it, and use it confidently.
4. What is the best way to study with Spanish Reading Club?
The recommended approach is as follows:
Listen first, without reading, and simply enjoy the story.
Listen again with the interactive transcript to identify pronunciation and vocabulary.
Review the Spanish–English dialogue and grammar and vocabulary sections.
Complete the quiz and check your answers.
Download the study guide to review offline.
This combination of listening, reading, and review creates strong comprehension and memory retention.
