Bienvenidos terrícolas a Spanish Reading Club.
Soy Jonathan, y hoy escucharéis una historia sobre dos personas y los cambios en sus vidas.
Empecemos.
STORY
Dolores y Juan se conocieron cuando eran jóvenes, pero el narrador siempre cuenta la historia desde afuera, como si observara sus vidas desde lejos.
Cada mañana, Juan se despertaba temprano.
Primero se levantaba, luego se duchaba sin prisa.
Después se lavaba la cara, se cepillaba los dientes y se afeitaba con mucho cuidado.
Antes de salir, se vestía frente al espejo y se miraba en silencio.
A veces se decía que algún día todo sería diferente.
Dolores también tenía su rutina.
Al levantarse, se peinaba, se maquillaba ligeramente y se vestía con elegancia.
Mientras tanto, se preparaba mentalmente para el día y se concentraba en lo que quería lograr.
Al principio se sentía insegura, pero nunca se rendía.
Cuando sus caminos se cruzaron, primero se miraron, luego se hablaron, y poco a poco se conocieron mejor.
Con el tiempo se enamoraron.
No fue inmediato: a veces se confundían, otras veces se entendían, pero siempre se buscaban.
La vida no fue fácil para ellos.
Juan se puso nervioso cuando perdió su trabajo.
Dolores se preocupó, pero no se desesperó.
Juntos se ayudaron, se apoyaron y se prometieron no abandonarse.
Hubo días en los que se enfadaron, días en los que se dijeron cosas duras, y noches en las que Juan se quedó callado y Dolores se fue a dormir triste.
Con los años, Juan se volvió más paciente y se hizo más responsable.
Dolores también cambió: se hizo más fuerte y se volvió más segura de sí misma.
Un día ambos se dieron cuenta de que ya no eran las mismas personas.
Juan ya no se sentía perdido.
Dolores ya no se veía pequeña.
Finalmente, se quedaron tranquilos, se reconciliaron con su pasado y se convirtieron en quienes siempre habían querido ser.
Y así, desde fuera, el narrador dice que sin darse cuenta Dolores y Juan se transformaron juntos.
